Cathay Crusade 2025

This was my third CX lounge for this trip and excited to check it off – same same but different? I didn’t know it at that time but this became a god send when I had to spend 5hours waiting out my flight which was eventually cancelled (more on my experience in a separate post).

[Trip Planning] OneWorld Sapphire Fun-venture

So I finally got my One World Sapphire (OWS) status after completing the Trip.com x Japan Airlines Sapphire Fast Track. While I am happy to finally see my status reflected, there were issues with Japan Airlines telling me that my Sapphire status is only valid until 31 March 2025 versus the campaign’s official T&C of 31 Dec 2025 – a 9 months difference! Eventually it got sorted out (and hopefully stays that way!), I figured why not start planning to try out my newly minted status.

This trip came up but of course due to the Cathy Pacific giveaway which happened earlier this year, and I decided to try this RC for its amazing views (and eye watering prices). This stay comes after a fantastic stay at RC Tokyo just last month and I was super excited to be able to make a comparison between these two similarly highly-raved about properties.
