This was an impromptu staycay due to my expiring D$ and I figured why not since the refurbished rooms looks really great on sites I’ve visited. So off I went to have another whirlwind stay! I last visited the property in 2022 and it has since been refurbished extensively including some of the F&B so I was keen to float by these spots too to see what the exciting renovations are about.

I remembered a great stay back in 2019 so this became my choice for burning off my expiring D$50, even if it means by then hotel prices have already gone way back to pre-COVID. But there was in fact no other option to spend the expiring D$ outside of a stay, so here goes.

Clocking my 3rd GHA Discovery Brand this year!
Although I wasn’t impressed with my stay last year, I decided to use this as my 3rd GHA brand for Titanium renewal as Hotelux was offering a decent promo – and stacking this with Double D$ accrual made it better! Some things have not changed since my last stay so I’d just focus on the things that are different this time – the room, evening aperitifs, and buffet breakfast experience.

Armed with the recently gifted D$100usd from GHA which had a 3-month expiry, I figured this was a good time to tick off one brand in my quest to maintain my GHA Titanium.

Ah, finally.
This stay was postponed twice (from May, then from Aug) due to tightened COVID measures, especially with restrictions on dining-in making a big impact as it would have meant not being able to access the COLLECTION Lounge at all, which was pretty much the point of me booking a COLLECTION room. The final nail in the coffin was the fact that room reservations told me that club offering alternatives will be delivered to the room only once (but I think you can order as much as you like perhaps)

This property was showing very good rates for some reason despite other GHA properties’ fluctuations. With some GHA properties in Singapore slowly being designated as SHN or SDF facilities, I decided to fill in one of my slots with this instead, despite it not being valid for a separate Local Experience accrual as its considered the same brand as Pan Pacific Hotel & Resorts. My second Service Apartment experience!
