This was our pick as base for our last 2nights before flying home from LHR. We didn’t want to pay crazy London City prices, needed on-site parking, as well as to be within walking distance of a tube station.
This was the most unique property of this trip and actually, of all my travels. Staying in a manor yay! It also was a bonus that this property joined the Tribute Portfolio family in 2024. The official pictures looked really nice and we were suitably excited to experience an English countryside stay.
This was the pick for my first visit to Scotland and my first AC experience! I was hesitant at first about staying in an AC but had 2x 35k FNA to burn for a 3-night stay and Marriott Glasgow was no longer accepting FNA at the time of booking so here goes.
Star Alliance Lounge, Charles de Gaulle Airport, Paris
SQ335 – Paris (CDG) – Singapore (SIN) Business (Boeing 777-300ER)
My virgin Eurostar experience!
Their website says it all – it’s like pointy end of the train, with fast track immigration, lounge access, and 3-course meal with champagne on board. Why not.
Star Alliance Lounge, Charles de Gaulle Airport Paris
SQ335 – Paris (CDG) – Singapore (SIN) Business Class (Boeing 777-300ER)
After much researching for places to stay in London, I landed on this property because the rooms look really nice, it has an Executive Lounge, located at a metro station plus Big Bus Tours stop is just around the corner.
To be perfectly honest, SQ’s announcement of devaluation last year was the cause of this trip. The things I do, hah.
So with the intent of “faster redeem” before the devaluation dateline in 2022, plus sage advice from fellow peeps, it was decided that I will do Singapore-London + Paris-Singapore on Business, with Eurostar covering the transit between the 2 cities. With immediate availability found for May 2023, the redemption was ticketed and ready to go.
But a potential work trip came along which would have clashed, and the commencement of Bonvoy’s double elite nights promotion spurred me enough to scout for availability to change up the trip.
And with that, I was ready to go on a ‘whirlwind’ 8-night tour of two cities in one sitting.
