This stay was purely functional – I needed to clock one night for my status match to Golden Circle Jade status as part of my newly acquired Krisflyer Elite Gold status. I’ve stayed at this property back in 2016 as well so that further muted excitement I could have.

Decided on a last minute staycation and despite feeling like the crowd will be madness in Orchard on a weekend, I decided to go ahead anyway. Anything for a chillax weekend where I can act like a potato for 2 whole days. Even if its a property I’ve already been to. But different room this time. Hehe.

Picked this property for a 4D3N staycation to avoid the blazing sun, but mostly because Hotel Jens are the only properties which allow chilldren in their Club Lounge. Had tried Hotel Jen Gateway last year so decided to try this this time.

This Jan 2016 (sorry slow review I know) is my second visit to the property – the first was when it was still a Traders back in 2014. I was looking for a chillax getaway with mum just for 2D1N and we didnt want a city-ish hotel so I decided to try this again and see what has changed now that its a Jen. I later found out…..nothing much actually haha.
This hotel has such a youthful vibe, it makes me feel old. I’ve been here countless time to wine and dine, but never to stay. And I have to admit: the only reason why we picked this spot for our 3D2N family staycation was because this is about the only hotel in Singapore whose lounge allows kids below 12 to enter. It was such a painful experience trying to find places who welcome the little tot.
