[Hotel Review] Hotel Jen Puteri Habour

(some pics are from my first visit as pretty much nothing has changed)

This Jan 2016 (sorry slow review I know) is my second visit to the property – the first was when it was still a Traders back in 2014. I was looking for a chillax getaway with mum just for 2D1N and we didnt want a city-ish hotel so I decided to try this again and see what has changed now that its a Jen. I later found out…..nothing much actually haha.

Address – Persiaran Puteri Selatan, Puteri Harbour, 79000 Nusajaya, Johor Darul Takzim, 79000, Malaysia. Website.

Price – MYR620++ for a Club King Room. No special deal or offer unfortunately. Turned out to be a bit pricey for its worth this time (the last time, I redeemed my GC points for the entire stay).

Check In – Check in at 9:30am was accommodated and processed very quickly. Seamless.

Room – The room is a little more worn out since my last visit and can be a teeny weeny bit more clean but mostly no complaints. They offered us a complimentary cake too as it was my mum’s birthday but we forgot to eat it 🙁

Executive Lounge – Exactly the same as before but the bites during cocktail hours were less impressive this time. So much so we had to head out for round 2 after that. Service was a bit unpolished but still okay.

Location – You should only stay here if you really want a chillax trip as it is not near any malls or Legoland or the Premium outlet. Cabs to any of these places are a min. of 15mins and you have to be beware of cabs which has rigged metres too. The only place to ‘look at’ is an adjourning small-ish block which contains some eateries, a pharmacy, Hello Kitty town (best for little kids!), and other really random stuff.

Check Out – Done at the lounge and seamless as well.

Service – Passable, nothing impressive but nothing bad.

The property is already showing signs of wear and tear so I’ll probably not come back again unless I need to fix / redeem GC points.
