[Hotel Review] Swissotel The Stamford – Executive King

I ‘ve been questioned about my choice of birthday staycation at this property as I work in essentially the same building.

Well, first, this represented a good value with my Accor Plus Sta Plus benefit, having to only top up $90++ for 2pax for an Executive King room which includes access to Level 65, their interpretation of a Club Lounge. Secondly, the entire property has been recently refurbished and I always had a semi fetish for checking out “new” hotels.

So with that, the stay was locked down for checking in on my birthday. Celebrating my big 4. Yays?

Apart from feeling like a whale from the 7days of non stop eating, maximum sleeping, and minimum walking, I managed to collect enough braincells to take pictures and remember sufficient details for a review.

[Hotel Review] The Kiroro, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

I was part of a 7D6N guided tour in Hokkaido and this was the ‘star’ hotel of the trip – and rightfully so! Beautiful hotel grounds both inside and outside :).

The hotel is under SPG’s portfolio (Sheraton I think?) and I was skeptical that the property would be nice based on some pics I saw online but my worries turned out unfounded after all.

[Hotel Review] Hotel Jen Puteri Habour

(some pics are from my first visit as pretty much nothing has changed)

This Jan 2016 (sorry slow review I know) is my second visit to the property – the first was when it was still a Traders back in 2014. I was looking for a chillax getaway with mum just for 2D1N and we didnt want a city-ish hotel so I decided to try this again and see what has changed now that its a Jen. I later found out…..nothing much actually haha.

Ramblings of a hotel fusspot

Wait, I am not fussy about hotels as in the I-need-to-be-treated-like-a-queen way. But I definitely am fussy. About erm most things haha. I hope I am not alone in this.

The sole reason why I hated chalets was because of the grimy / sandy floors, the thing that they call a bed, icky bedsheets, and god-knows-how-long-it-has-gone-uncleaned toilets. I mean, I love the bonding spirit and all – but I think bonding happens better for me when I’m actually in a nice clean place.
