[Flight Review] Qatar Airways QR094 Zurich ZRH to Doha DOH – Qsuites

Qatar Quest 2025

After the very non-memorable Primeclass Lounge, I couldn’t wait to experience Qsuite again, and in addition, head towards my hotel checklist for this trip!

  • Flight Timing – QR094 depart ZRH 0940 arrive DOH 1625
  • Duration – 5hr 45mins
  • Aircraft – Airbus A350-900
  • Seat – 3K
  • Cost – SGD3.5k (entire itenary)

Similar to my DOH-ZRH flight, this was supposed to be the regular business class but an equipment swap prior to the trip meant I got Qsuites again – yay to my Qsuites lucky shining through for this trip! This time, I picked 3K just to see how it feels sitting in a mirror image of my trip here.

Boarding was right on time and

SEAT

The seat was an exact mirror image of 3A so here are some same-same-but-different pics for reference.

Ine thing which I found odd was that the take-off / landing position of the seat seems to be at a rather awkward angle – kind of jutting out a little? It could not go back further, with a weird empty space in between. Didn’t bother me that much so I didn’t ask any further though.

The amenity kit and Diptyque towel was placed on the console on arrival this time too.

The crew came by soon after to offer Arabic coffee and dates, which I had with a glass of bubbles.

FOOD & BEVERAGE

This flight offers all-day dining as well as light meal and I saved my stomach for both!

The champagne this time was a different one which I didn’t like so much compared to the Joseph Perrier.

Non-alcohol selection remained largely the same.

I opted to dine right after take-off as I didn’t really eat much at the lounge prior, and meal service began with a glass of the French red as well as some warm nuts.

I was served an amuse bouche of some prawn thingy which was nice.

For the main meal, I decided to try the Arabic mezze which seemed to be a must-try but sadly it was the least memorable of the meal but points for presentation. The main of Qatari Style Prawn Machboos was great though, cheese platter as it should be.

I tried their whiskey sour which was not so nice, and black coffee to end the meal with.

I requested for turndown service after the meal and came back to this – now I’m wondering how the crew decides if the burgundy blanket should be laid out for the bed or not. It was also this time I realized I have another armrest on the window side of things which can be adjusted as necessary.

About 2hours before landing, I asked for the Roast Beef Fillet Pretzel Sandwich from the light meal section – this was was awesome, especially when paired with more alcohol.

LAVATORY

The lavatories did not have any window this time but nonetheless kept reasonably clean during the flight.

Just before landing, the crew came around to offer a box of praline as per SOP.

SERVICE

Once again, service was great and I never had to wait too long to get service. Consistency good so far!

LEAVING DOH ON BUSINESS LITE FARE

Wanted to quickly highlight that I did not realize travelling on business lite on QR meant you also can’t utilize the Al Mourjan arrival fast track facility as I did during my 12-hour layover. I was politely told this at the Al Mourjan front desk and was asked to proceed to Al Maha Lounge instead located on the other end of the hall. This was due to my Qatar Privilege Club Gold status obtained after my first flight with QR as an Accor Platinum which I didn’t realize had happened but yay.

In Summary,

I was part sad to end the flight but super excited to head to Raffles Doha so it was a mixed bag of emotions as I disembarked. But onwards I go!
