After zipping through my non-lounge Priority Pass experiences, I arrived at the gate just in time for boarding to commence shortly. I must admit that it is always nice to attend to a Business Class passenger boarding call hah.

Boarding early gave me the opportunity to take somewhat decent pics of the A350-900 cabin – and the flight being only half full (I’m guessing due to the unpopular timing) was a bonus.

Seat

15K is a window seat, plus the row where the seat is staggered closer to the window for maximum privacy. And even though it’s considered a somewhat narrow seat for some, the seat in its classy brown/orange tone has never been an issue for me and is more than adequate for a 6hr flight.

Upon boarding, the blanket and pillow were placed at the seat, with the slippers, socks, and eye mask placed at the console surface on my left.

The headphones, menu and bottled water were placed inside the storage compartment which can be closed with a sliding door if you wish (closing this compartment is mandatory for take off and landing).

During the flight, keeping this door open will mean easier access to the charging ports (3-pin, USB) for juicing your devices.

Shortly after takeoff, the crew came around distributing the amenity kit which was surprisingly as I thought it only was applicable for flights of over 6hours but I’m not complaining!

Food & Beverage

I apologize in advance as I realized my pics of the meals on this flight are not as comprehensive – I kind of forgot to take the menu for some stuff. Opps.

My choice of pre-departure drinks was of course champagne – what else.

Otherwise, it was dinner service on this flight and the menu is as follow:

About one hour after take off, I got my satay appetizer which I always loved – yays to anything with peanut sauce! I tried this with some red wine (I realized I don’t have pics of the wine list, sorry!) which was not bad.

The starter was then served – a really refreshing salad with sou vide chicken. I was also offered the bread basket shortly after, and then my Lobster Thermidor from the Book The Cook selection arrived. Everything was quite tasty!

Finished off the meal with the cheese platter, my sparkling water, and a proper coffee before I started stoning on the In-flight Entertainment’s brainless movies.

Service

Service on this flight I thought was nothing really bumpy though for some reason, being addressed by my first name was a rare occurrence rather than the norm. Still, the crew was attentive and efficient nonetheless as all business class on Singapore Airline flights should be.

Still a great way to fly for sure!

My next flight is going to be so different oh boy. But let me survive the overnighter first.
