TAP Air Portugal Traipse

I was hoping that this will be a more than decent lounge to wait out my flight after not being able to eat breakfast at the hotel, and it was not too bad after all.

Location – Terminal 2, floor 6, Schengen area, near Gate 26 – find the upwards escalator that indicates for “TAP Premium” and “ANA lounge” beside a coffee joint.

Operating Hours – 05:00 to 0000 daily.

Access – I had access due to my TAP Executive Class ticket but understand that the lounge is available to TAP status customers, holders of the TAP Platinum Visa, as well as those who purchased access.

Seating – I was quickly scanned in and boy was this a busy lounge at this hour! It’s actually a big space but also filled with plenty people as the lounge also guests eligible Star Alliance passengers. The good thing is most seats are fairly spread out, with the 2-seater window seats being the most popualr for solo pax. Similar to all other lounges, there are seats nearer the F&B area and then another cluster nearer the bar area.

Food & Beverage – rather typical of an airport lounge buffet but with more cheese and cold cuts selection – those fresh cheese are really nice I must say – more please!

The bar area has a big selection of alcohol with cocktails on offer if you need that at erm 7am.

Service – nothing to complain about, but soiled plates could have been cleared faster.

In Summary,

Glad to have this spot to wait out my flight as the public areas of the airport were really busy. Also didn’t expect me to chillax in this lounge for 3x during this trip but no complaints!
