[Hotel Review] Conrad Abu Dhabi Etihad Towers

Grabbed from official site

Etihad ‘E’dventure 2026

This was my choice for my whirlwind 2nights in Abu Dhabi due to 1) lingering regrets over not making it here in its Jumeriah past life from my COVID-cancelled trip 2) Hilton resort credits I had to spend for Q2 2025 which I pre-booked.

Address – Etihad Towers,West Corniche Abu Dhabi, U.A.E. Website.

Contact – Email: Etihadtowers.Info@ConradHotels.com. Tel: +971 2 811 5555.

Location – Not exactly sure which neighbourhood this was in but it’s fairly city-centric although not conveniently connected to any malls nor metro stations. There’s a smattering of high-end hotels in the vicinity as well.

Price – AED741 booked directly under the Hilton Plan & Save promotion, then AED792 via Hotelux under the Hilton For Luxury which includes a USD100 hotel credit to use during the stay. Decent eough especially with my Aspire credits to offset it.

Pre-arrival – I received an invite to upgrade 5 days prior so useful reference for those who may need it.

Getting There – The drive from the Airport took about 30mins+ and the Etihad Chauffeur dropped me off just around 7:30pm where the lobby was really quiet. Odd that there was no assistance by the bellhop nor assistance with luggage but ah wells.

Check In – done very seamlessly even though I had 2 separate bookings for the 2-night stay. I was informed that I’ve been upgraded to a King Deluxe with Sea View – yay.

Room – My King Deluxe Room with Sea View (50SqM) on the 37th floor was …..very very brown but huge space. Not a fan of the color tones, especially when it feels like there wasn’t much effort to spruce things up to Conrad standards from it’s past Jumeriah life. I prefer a happier room haha.

But I did like the very wide walkway leading into the room – with a whole length of brown doors opening up to the wardrobe, mini bar, and closet spaces. Rather standard stuff.

The main bedroom space looks exactly like how it shows in pictures back in 2020 and almost completely brown save for the while bedsheets and purple chaise lounge. The space is reasonably clean and the bedside tables were a good size.

Facing the bed is a stretch of tabletop space holding the hairdryer in a box and the usual in-room materials. I did find the TV size a little small for the room size, especially when watching from the bed.

The bathroom is thankfully anything but brown, with a tub, separate shower and toilet, and double sinks. Toiletries were Byredo branded which is consistent with the Conrad brand.

Shortly after settling in, a staff came by to delivery these Diamond member welcome amenities.

Breakfast – served at Rosewater from 6:00am-10:30am, the restaurant was massive with a lot of seatings, plus an alfresco area for those who need fresh air.

The restaurant also offers a separate seating area for Diamond members only – this was a much appreciated gesture as the space was much more peaceful and offers a lovely view of the neighbourhood.

Food wise, Diamond members enjoy a special made to order menu which was quite special – I tried the Truffled Croque Madame and Lobster Egg Cocotte and both were not bad!

Otherwise, the buffet spread is a massive selection of everything from everywhere, including a very impressive Middle Eastern cheese section as well as plenty of healthy add-ons to yoghurt and other stuff. To much to describe so hope the pics show enough!

Afternoon Tea

After breakfast, the dedicated breakfast space for Diamond members is transformed into The Hub which is essentially an Executive Lounge replacement to soothe the frayed nerves of all Diamonds who is disgruntled about non-access to Level 45. Afternoon Tea is served from 2:30pm-4:00pm here, which is essentially a light spread of nuts and snacks. Decent enough if its comes with status.

Evening Canapés and House Beverages

The property calls this the Diamond Happy Hour, which sees light bites from 5:00pm-7:00pm, a small selection of light bites. Not really a proper Executive Lounge replacement but oh wells, I take what I can get.

Facilities – I checked out the Fitness Centre one morning and found it very well maintained and no lack of equipment for a proper workout. It’s also interesting to find a ‘Recovery Zone’ and a table tennis set up in the same space. I guess fitness can come in various forms haha.

Had planned to check out the Conrad Spa and the Pool but alas it wasnt meant to be.

I remembered that there was some Observation Deck thingy which is complimentary for in-house guests and since I wasn’t going to head out of the hotel anytime soon, I made my way up and saw beautiful views of how the city looks from above. Fun but I wouldn’t pay to access this for sure.

Service – nothing to complain and in fact, various staff were super helpful when I checking out on 01 March – as one can imagine the madness that had descended in the UAE by then.

At check out – one staff reminded me that I had not spent most of my USD100 credits and patiently waited for me to use them all up at the Lobby Deli where I must have ordered enough for 5pax.

At Lobby Deli – the staff helped to bring my entire loot while I was standing in line with my hands full.

At departure – the bellhop helped to carry some of my luggage and called my Uber who was stuck coming up due to road blocks.

Check Out – very efficiently completed within the growing chaos.

In Summary,

A perfectly competent property which I would probably have better memories of if I had visited at a different time. I still don’t love the brown tones of course so I’d definitely pick another property.

And also, this was the last proper review of the trip as it was pure madness after this – will document it in my next post!
