This was my leftover nights from the 2023 Citi Prestige x Wynn partnership after I made the whirlwind one-nighter last year to activate the membership. After last year’s experience of booking too late with the only available being Wynn Macau, I made it a point to reserve as early as possible this time in Wynn Palace which is the newer sister.
Address – Avenida Da Nave, Desportiva, Cotai, Macau. Website.
Contact – Tel: +853 8889 8889. Email: inquiries@wynnpalace.com.
Location – The property is located in the Cotai side of things where all the glitzier and fancier cousins of the other side lie. Since my last proper trip in 2013, crazy-rich-esque stuff like The Londoner and The Parisian has popped up which revved up the area even more – a frenzy of glamour all round!

Price – I was booked for a Palace King under the “Wynn Insider Courtesy Luxury Stay with Breakfast” at no cost but a dummy search for my stay dates showed MOP 3,378++ for the same inclusions. This time, I was also told that only the King rooms are eligible for the free nights and the theme of the room is assigned upon check in although preferences can be indicted – I indicated my preference of the Peacock Blue and Sunrise Yellow. In addition, Friday and Saturday nights are black out days. Oh wells.
Pre-arrival – nothing much to prep for pre-arrival but booking and further correspondences via email were quick and efficiently handled so no complaints here.
Getting There – Macau airport remains awesome in terms of getting to your hotel after arrival – I hopped on the Wynn shuttle bus and landed at the property about 1 hr after landing given immigration and the wait for the shuttle.
Check In – there was a slight wait at the main registration area so we were surprisingly ushered to the VIP registration area where seats are available
The process was completed in 15mins and we were off to our rooms with keys in hand as well as snapshots of the ground floor layout + shuttle bus schedule.
Room – We got a Palace King (60SqM) in Emerald in the South Wing, 797, and it was a longggg way from the elevators so do request for a room near to the elevators if you don’t want the walk! Though I must say the hallway is immaculately maintained!
Once inside the room, we were greeted by a spacious walkway in a luscious emerald color (and plenty of mirrors).
The luggage space and wardrobe are located on the right, with the wardrobe having its own sliding door and holds the quintessentials like slippers, laundry bags etc.
The bathroom is a generous space featuring double sinks, a bathtub, as well as separate standing shower space and toilet. Toiletries here are Wynn-branded but they did what they do.
A highlight of this space is the gold-accented amenity box – only in Macau!
The main bedroom space is very spacious and a very good amount of space for 2pax with luggage – and I have to say its very OCD-approved as stuff is all laid out in neat clean lines.
The king bed was firm and cushy, with roomy bedside tables with its own charging ports and lighting controls. The solo lounge chair + coffee table as well as the work desk were also very useful in providing shelftop space for getting stuff organized.
The mini bar is well stocked and surprisingly having a Macau beer in the room is the same price as having it at the restaurant downstairs. Yay.
Housekeeping was very attentive during our stay and placed notes in various spots, replenished so much water so ended up with 8 bottles on our last day, neatened up our belongings, and coiled our cables. Slightly undecided about
Breakfast – served at Fontana located on the ground level from 7:00am-11:00am, it is chargeable at MOP268++ if not included in your room rate. And the place is a palace-y world of red and gold, complete with an awesome sweeping views of the lake in front of the property (though you will also get a clear view of the cleaning divers doing their best to keep the waters pristine).
Food is mad alot – and flavors were good! The wide spread of local and international touches will probably make most people happy really – and yay to free flow of salmon roe!
Starting with the bakes section…
Moving on to the cold stuff……
More cold stuff…
The live station and hot food….
And a berry good fruit station~
Facilities – fitness centre and the pool, as well as the spa which I didn’t try, are located on level 2.
The gym is strangely not 24hr but instead only open from 6am-10pm. I tried the gym on 4 mornings and at 615am each time, was pretty much deserted but good for antisocial workouts.
The pool during my visit was a windy / chilly encounter but I’d imagine it makes for a good swim during warmer days.
Service – great service throughout from front desk, housekeeping, concierge and bell desk. The kind bellboy even helped us with our luggage from check out until getting onto the shuttle for our flight back – we only had to lift our own fingers when we alighted. Impressed!
Other stuff – I also have to point out that the entire property hires the most fervent cleaning crew I’ve ever seen. Plenty of times, staff is seen attacking smudges / soiled stuff in the public areas with such dedication that I am starting to understand why this 9-yr old property feels much younger instead. Certainly not complaining!
Check Out – Seamlessly done at 2pm on a weekday.
In summary,
I definitely wouldn’t have picked this as my first choice if not for the free nights but hey anything for a new and free experience!
Not sure if its worth joining their home-loyalty programme but if not, OTAs like Klook may help you find the price you like.
