Decided to spend my last night at this property because I’d get more time to check out the airport offerings in general, plus I’d get to skip off to check out the giant Boeing 747 parked at Coredon Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, accessible via the hotel’s free shuttle bus from the airport.
Address – Schiphol Boulevard 101, Amsterdam, Netherlands, 1118BG. Website.
Contact – Tel: +31 20-3164300. Email: reservations.schiphol@sheraton.com.
Location – Directly connected to the airport terminal, the property is a no-brainer for late arrivals or early departure. Nothing beats convenience like this on travels, and a modern Sheraton to boot!

Pre-arrival – I received a pre-arrival email few days out with the hotel info and elite benefits. I also used the app to request to be upgraded to an Executive Room as those come with airport views and was told it would be upon availability.
Price – EURO166 booked for a Deluxe Room under the “Bonvoy Escapes Member Sale” which was actually the Cyber Sale offering 25% for rooms booked via their app. I thought it was a good deal given the convenience and elite benefits covering breakfast and dinner.
Getting There – I took an Uber from Marriott which cost EUR25 but it was door to door and I had 3x luggage with me so no other options would have worked well for me. The kind driver even helped to roll the luggage into the hotel lobby so plus for this!
Check In – Check in happens on one floor up from the drop off point, and I managed to get everything into the lift to get there. Surprisingly the lobby was not busy at 2pm and my check in took all of 10mins including being informed that my upgrade request has been granted yay.
The modern Sheraton has really nice and bright colors I must say! The property is also quite cool in the sense that it is built around a hollow column space of sorts so not exactly a cookie-cutter Sheraton here.
Room – My Deluxe King (24SqM) was great, new + modern + clean! The main bedroom area felt more spacious than it was and the cushy king bed a really nice spot to rest in before my flight.
The wide-screen TV facing the bed and the corner sofas + seater provided more space for organizing stuff even for longer stays.
The design of the wardrobe space was weird though – such a tight spot parallel to the bed length which made opening and closing those doors very difficult. Why when there are other spaces to work with?
The bathroom was very….new Sheraton as I recall seeing the same designs at both their Tel Aviv and Frankfurt properties. Toiletries are the Sheraton staple ones – Gilchrist & Soames.
The “airport view” that the room had was this – quite nice!
Sheraton Club – opened 6:00am-11:00am, the Club located at the check in floor is a smaller than expected space decked in the same bright cheery hues as the room – very modern! The entrance is at times staffed but it is keycard access so once you enter, you are not required to inform of room number even if the staff is there. In fact, other than one lady who said she is in charge of taking care of elite members and for some reason knows my name when I first met her, the rest of whoever I saw there for the rest of my stay seemed pretty disinterested in acknowledging guests who come and go.
Seatings are aplenty here, with one cosy corner for the taking beside a make-shift work station (?).
4:30pm-7:00pm is the official “Snacks” time where food and alcohol is served but otherwise, simple grab & go stuff is available alongside non-alcoholic drinks.
Come 4:30pm, an array of hot food is laid out and surprisingly decent and sufficient for dinner including protein choices.
Drinks wise, there were red, white, rose, beers, and bubbles up for grabs. Can’t beat getting free food and drinks at an airport!
Breakfast – served at Stripes from 6:00am to 10:30am, the restaurant is located at the Atrium level hence giving it the advantage of a soaring ceiling which gives a much bigger sense of space.
The spread itself is located in an enclave of sorts offering loads of variety including the first egg station I’ve had access to the entire trip. There is also an interesting corner featuring locally made nut butters, honey and various other condiments – thumbs up!
And then I spotted the same bottle of bubbles from the Sheraton Club on offer at breakfast – impressed!
Facilities – The Fitness Centre is also located on the check in level and features a decent array of equipment sufficient for a short stay.
Service – Low touch point, with notable mention going to the lady at Sheraton Club who was tasked to take care of elite members. She was helpful and warm, even giving me guidance on how to find the shuttle bus to Coredon Amsterdam Schiphol Airport to see the Boeing.
Side note: this was really fun BUT the shuttle bus did not run on schedule so I think its now based on luck upon your arrival at the pick up point – it could be a 45mins wait or it could be who knows what. The bus also did not look the pics so try to spot them at your own risk!
Check Out – Painlessly done at the front desk at 11am.
In Summary,
A great property to spend the night if you need the convenience and a fun way to position myself to check out more of Amsterdam Airport!
