After a whirlwind trip of 2 cities, I was ready to go home!

On the day of depart, I was informed that there were strikes by some airport workers and advised to go earlier. With SQ counters opening 3.5 hours prior to flight in view of that, I plotted to arrive 4hours ahead which turned out to be the right strategy. In case its useful for anyone, tax refund took another 30mins including manual checks at the counter for one of my stash, and off I went to check in exactly at the 3.5 hours mark.

With Business class boarding pass in hand, I also received what they call “Acces N1” – this is printed on your boarding pass – and this allows you to fast track all the way (getting into immigration, customs, security etc) skipping the sometimes-snaking queues which is a godsend given how busy the airport was.

Location – Terminal 1, Level 10, before central security screening point.

Opening Hours – 06:00 – 21:30 daily.

Seating – the huge place has actually quite alot of seating available, but it must be so looking at the long list of eligible passengers. They seem to have an upper level but it was closed at the time of my visit. Proper dining tables are available, so as lower sofa seats. I find the solo semi-pod seats the most comfortable, equipped with USB ports right by the side.

They even had an outdoor deck to chill in (literally) if you want to.

Food & Beverages – the offerings were laid out in a central area and all self-served.

As it was in between breakfast and lunch during my time of visit, the F&B on offer were the usual spread of breakfast-y stuff which one can expect from a regular airport lounge.

Beverages – the drinks on offer were the usual suspects of wines and spirits, including a pretty nice sparkling but it was sadly not replenished so I only managed to have one glass. Boo.

I visited the washrooms and they were pretty clean – but I didn’t remember to have pics taken.

In summary.

a more than decent place to chillax in before flight of course. This will definitely make me miss my KrisFlyer Elite Gold when it expires.
