[Experience Review] Priority Pass Non-lounge experience – Singapore Changi Airport

Grabbed from official site

Ever since Priority Pass launched its non-lounge experiences as part of the benefits, there’s been a flurry of excitement about discovering more than boring airport lounges during travels. And I certainly tried my best to clock as many as I can since hah. My last trip has finally allowed me to try some of what is available on home ground Singapore Changi Airport’s airside and I figured it’s probably a good time to document my tryouts with them, as fleeting as some may be.

Some of these places also accepts arrival boarding passes as a non-published policy so wouldn’t hurt to ask nicely.

ASIAN STREET KITCHEN

  • Location: Terminal 2 Airside, Level 2 Departure Lounge
  • Operation hours: 06:00-01:00daily
  • Entitlement: $33.50 (cardholder only) / $67.00 (+1 guest)

Asian Street Kitchen is one of the newest additions to Priority Pass for Changi Airport and the spot is quite hard to miss given its big space and large signboard:

The menu is super extensive and the staff is happy to accord +1 guest benefit even if you are solo and has only 1x boarding pass (doesn’t matter to them anyway).

I was on my way to get lunch at the SilverKris Lounge and decided to order a Mojito so I won’t overeat – and it was decent actually. Free, cannot complain! Service however was a little slow so do factor in some waiting and service time as necessary. I also understand that the credits can be applied towards merchandise purchase (caps, tshirts etc) so perhaps I will try that next time!

TGM

  • Location: Terminal 2 Airside, Level 3 Departure Lounge
  • Operation hours: 06:00-01:00daily
  • Entitlement: access to the current semi-buffet (instead of a set menu as listed)

TGM is not a new player but I’ve actually never tried it until recently so I was quite excited to try out the new format of a semi-buffet instead of the former bento set. The space is rather cheery which I liked and even comes with booth seats.

The menu is simple – pick a main and then eat all you want from the spread – not bad for free!

The spread is not complicated and sees a modest spread of basic Japanese nosh including wakame, salads, sushi, deep fried bites, and miso soup.

I picked the saba main and it was very decent! Service was also great as the staff was smiley and efficient and even asked if I liked the food which I completely wasn’t expecting. Score!

TRANSPA

  • Location: Terminal 2 Airside, Level 3 Departure Transit Hall South
  • Operation hours: 11:00-21:00daily
  • Entitlement: 20mins treatment of choice: head & shoulder, foot, hair wash, hair cut, shower, manicure & pedicure.

How exciting it is to be able to get a free massage before and after your flight!

To find this place, look out for signage pointing to the Ambassador Transit Hotel and the signage is obvious from there. It is also strictly walk-in only: no reservations are allowed, even if you are there in person and asking for availability for 30mins later. But the staff is polite about it of course.

I have tried this spot twice by now and I am impressed by the quality of my experiences – both the foot and head & shoulder massages were competently executed by the mostly Thai masseurs. I very like!

THE KITCHEN BY WOLFGANG PUCK

  • Location: Terminal 3 Airside, Level 2 Transit South
  • Operation hours: 06:00-01:00daily
  • Entitlement: $33.50 (cardholder only) / $67.00 (+1 guest)

This spot has been a popular to-try place because of its namesake – how can I miss out as well then?

The space is an open concept spot and seems to have ample seating, with some offering partial views of the tarmac. But it was sparsely populated at the time of my visit for some reason.

The menu is quite extensive and prices are surprisingly reasonable – would imagine quite alot of people will have alot of fun trying to max out the benefit!

And of course I wasn’t hungry again but I had to make it work so bubbles it is! I then tried the tiramisu and a coffee just to make up the numbers but sadly it was no good.

That’s it for now – I do want to check off something at Terminal 1 though so let’s see 🙂
