This was a natural choice for using my 2x FNA due to its location and club lounge facilities for 2nights, plus online reviews were very decent!

Location – I discovered that the property really is in the heart of the city action – with lots shopping, food, and streets within walking distance. It was a bonus that the hop on/off bus stop was 1min walk away as well which was fantastic.

Price – Booked this using my 1x 35k + 1x 40k Free Night Award for a total of 78,000 points. With club access already included due to my Titanium status, it was an easy choice amongst the other Bonvoy properties in this city. I also applied 2x NUA since they were expiring end of 2024 anyways.
Pre-arrival – there was no pre-arrival email from the property which I though was odd for a 5-star property but not that there was anything for me to inquire about for this particular stay. 2 days out, I received an email informing that my NUA has cleared into a Club Suite – YAY.
Getting There – I walked from Pan Pacific which was 10mins away alongside a unsheltered cobbled way.
Check In – noted that it was 10am and way ahead of standard check in time as well as my online check in indication of 12pm, the front desk took our luggage and gave us a temporary card for accessing the Executive Lounge during our wait which was nice. But I did think they could have processed the formalities first so we just had to collect our keys thereafter instead of coming back to do the formalities at the point of key collection.
At about 1pm, we received notification that the Suite was ready and we collected our keys alongside a Club guest welcome letter.
Room – The Club Suite (105SqM), 2308, was such a treat for 2pax – the space was crazy big! Its rather hard to get a sense of the layout based on pics so here’s a floorplan copied from the hotel’s site.
As you can see, the door is actually set in the middle of the and opens up to a spacious walkway with the bedroom to one side, and the living area on the other. I thought it was a smart design as it allows for differentiation of space to get individual things done if need be, though it meant a rather long walk to retrieve stuff from the living room!
First up, the entrance has a half bathroom which is very appreciated for even just 2nights.
Then the living area is up next – a huge space containing an expansive dining area and a big sofa area with TV. This feels like a space for 4-6pax instead!
This is also where the floor-to-ceiling windows are, which with blinds lifted, offers a breathtaking view of the city landscape.
This are also contains the mini bar area complete with the usual glassware, coffee machine (not Nespresso though), and teas. A generous stash of complimentary bottled water were placed here but I wondered about the choice of brand for it instead of a Westin-branded ones.
On the other side of the door is the bedroom area where a cushy kind bed sits opposite a TV, accompanied by very generous bedside table space.
There is also a wardrobe / closet area but the design of the doors meant they kind of block the walkway when opened.
The bathroom is a nicely designed area with double sinks, a huge bathtub, generous shower space, and a separate toilet area which was great. Toiletries here are pump sized White Tea branded ones which worked better for me than I remembered.
Later that evening, a platter of snacks + sparkling water alongside a welcome note was placed in the room which was appreciated.
Executive Lounge – we were able to take some nice pics of the lounge when nipping in for a quick drink and I was impressed by the fancy entrance!
The space is for some reason smaller than I imagine but very nicely done up with plenty of comfy sofa seatings for solos or bigger groups. It’s kind of old school yet classy I thought.
The space only serves evening cocktails so pretty much very quiet off-hours, with non-alcoholic drinks and snacks available all day. Water variations are served on tap here so its nice if you want to fill up before out head out for the day.
Evening cocktails is served for 5:30pm-7:30pm and the team is quite strict on closing hours – they literally put a padlock on the alcohol fridge at 7:30pm but they do go table to table announcing last calls prior so that was fine.
I was there for 2x evenings and saw a rotation of hot mains, salads, sandwiches, and light bites together with cheese and cold cuts and desserts which I thought was okay as dinner. I did feel like the variety could be bigger like their Asian counterparts, and the choice of lamb during one evening meant I had no hot protein to eat that night – very odd that they didn’t choose a more ‘widely acceptable’ protein.
Drinks saw a list offering mostly wines and beers laid out on the counter, with select spirits by request (but Baileys was OOS boo). There was also a jug of special cocktails during the evening which was a fun addition to the repertoire. I didn’t find the wines nice (personal taste) so I stuck with beers for both evenings.
Breakfast – served at Garum from 6:00am-10:30am, the place is bustling at 7am! I liked alot the stonewall design of the space which gave it a very modern but yet medieval vibe. Seats were a mix of sofa and somewhat uncomfy chairs but for a breakfast stint works fine.
I really liked the spread here as it had stuff that you don’t usually see at other hotels like the curated salads and an excellent roasted eggplant. The cold section also seems to carry a wellness theme with the cold cuts, cheeses, and yoghurts. The baked goods seems in-house (didn’t try though) which seems to be a hit with the guests there. Coffee was average but it did well for a morning perk up.
Facilities – popped by the pool on level 5 and it was blazing hot day so would suit who need a tan?
I was also excited about the gym (located on the same level 5) as online reviews spotted a rower BUT they probably did away with it at some point as it was sorely missed during my visit. Boo.
Service – Perfectly serviceable but nothing extra warm as well, even in the club lounge. Fine for me though as my touch points were low as well.
Check Out – painlessly done at the front desk as there was no payment required.
In Summary,
What a great choice for the city – I’d definitely come back even on paying stays as the property covers all my needs and if I think positively, the food selection at the Executive Lounge will throttle any overeating possibility haha.
