This mattress run spot was designed to be the first stop in my bangkok trip so I could complete it the day of my arrival instead of interjecting it in between all those shopping and massages.

The plan was to drop our bags at Renaissance then while waiting for the room to be ready, hop onto a grab, clock the stay, and be back in time to get keys to the room. But the Renaissance team did us a superb favour by having the room ready at 11am. Yays.

So anyways, this was the cheapest day stay as there are no HGIs but still affordable enough for a mattress run. I knew it didn’t have a Executive Lounge so it was a default choice for a day where I wouldn’t feel wasted not checking out the offerings.

Address – 18 1 Sukhumvit Soi 26 Khlong Ton, Bangkok, 10110. Website.

Contact – bkkss.info@hilton.com. Tel:  +66-2-6496666.

Location – 5mins (unsheltered sweltering) walk from the hotel will take you to Phrom Phong BTS Station which is about 6 stops away from the ever popular Siam and 1 stop away from Asok where Terminal 21 resides. In the vicinity, there is super atas Emporium (SGD800 for a top!) and EmQuartier complex. Good enough to rot away your time for a short stay.

Price – THB1,3540++ (THB1,588.94) = SGD69.41 for a day stay (10am – 4pm). A good rate for a mattress run!

Check In – I checked in at 12:30pm and room was ready. No Diamond upgrade but I was given 19th floor. Staff seemed surprised that I was only there for a day room and asked what time I would like to leave. I told her in 30mins haha. Warm DT cookies were absolutely delicious and I definitely hit my sugar quota with that alone. 330 calories! GAH!

Room – Twin guest room (32SqM) 1911 was nice but a little boring in terms of color asthetics. Brown and more brown honestly makes rooms look more dated than it is. But no issues with cleanliness (not that I was there for a long time), bathroom decent, and should serve its function well. Didn’t remember to bounce on the bed to test its softness.

Facilities – Lobby looked much more modern than the rooms. Kind of old school artsy deco in a spacius lobby and plenty of seats for guests to lounge at. Their restaurant, Dee Lite, is also located on the same lobby level. Did not manage to check out their pool as it was closed for a private event that day.

Service – Nothing to complain but I also didn’t stay long enough to experience more.

Check Out – Dropped my keys into the non-stop check out box at the lifts.

In summary, abit of an odd location for tourists who may want to do more shopping than in the vicinity. Also not a top choice for Diamonds as there is no Executive Lounge. Perhaps sufficient for a quick stopover or transit.
